The link between RMT trading and account hacking is proven, please do not allow yourself to fall victim to such activity.
Seems to me that this statement says alot more than just the words used.

Originally by: Havohej Actually, crap happens does apply here.
I know a lot of people like/respect the muffin guys, but they got corpthieved. MOST of the time, "my account got hacked" really means "somebody I trusted with my acct info has betrayed my trust and robbed me and my corporation".
If his account really DID get hacked without him giving out his info to some trusted corpmate, then he was keylogged from something he downloaded OR he was gotten by some isk farmers he dealt with.
If it was a random program that he downloaded from somewhere, it's unlikely that the hacker would actually be in his corporation - seems too coincidental. It's even MORE unlikely that he'd have some isk farmer in a pirate corp like the muffin factory, so that answer doesn't make sense either. (Sorry Mitnal).
His acct was logged into by someone in the corporation, who then cleaned him out. I'm more inclined to believe the first scenario - he trusted someone, gave them his acct info, and suffered for it.
If some carebear corp's CEO posted here about how they got hit by a corp thief, the whole of C&P would be replying with " Don't trust anyone!"
But because it's muffin factory, the rules are somehow different?
You said it better than I did.

Originally by: Lithalnas Pirate or not, account hacking is not cool. Not cool at all. So all those out there who say its karma or that he deserved it, you seem to forget that eve is a game, Mr Muffin' is playing by the rules, the guy who hacked his account is not.
Any you know this how?? Playing by the rules tends to net a negative in the "getting haxored" column. Most of the time if something like this happens it is due to a "miscalulation" on the victims part. IE: trusting someone they shouldn't have or doing something they shouldn't have been doing.
"As you sow so shall you reap" seems to me the most likely of scenarios imhfo

edit: poor speelings of werds
or downloading **** with trojans. If Muffin has done something to run afoul of CCP, none of us can say anything because we dont have the logs.
I agree that it "could" have been a trojan but the scenario is too precise for that to have happened *imho*, based on what the OP has stated were the sequence of events. I do not believe a random trojan infestation would provide the information and precise distribution of assets that has been reported. This was either a targetted attack and the OP was ill-prepared and nieve or the OP did somethign bad and brought this on himself.
Either way he gets no sympathy from me.
